Tribhuvan University, Bhaktapur Multiple Campus (BKMC), is established in 1959 in Bhaktapur, situated at the heart of Bhaktapur Municipality, Bhaktapur, Bagmati Province, as an educational institute to educate young Nepalese women and men entering the field of Information Technology, Science, Humanities and Management. Bhaktapur Multiple Campus is the pioneer constituent campus of Tribhuvan University (TU) which has become one of the pioneer educational organizations in Nepal since its establishment. Within Five decades, the campus gradually expanded its academic program from PCL to Master in Humanities and Management. Bhaktapur Multiple Campus is an academic center of excellence through the foundation of integrated subjects with its specialization in Information technology, Finance, Accounting, Management, Banking, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics Sociology and Rural Development.

BKMC has its ultimate objective of educating students for professional pursuits in business, industry, and government dedicated to contributing for enhancing the knowledge and understanding of business and public administration. Thus, it has become the premier duty of BKMC to produce world class standard manpower targeting the global need. Additionally, BKMC is conscious of its duty of upholding the image of TU. BKMC houses highly professional, dedicated, and competent faculty as required who focus on producing world class IT, management and Scientist manpower. As a result, BKMC has become the first choice of Nepalese students from basically eastern side of Kathmandu Valley and over all Nepal wishing to pursue management studies.

BKMC aims:

 (1) To develop   computer & Information Technologist, managers Scientist  and Social Scientist  for public sector with competency in Information Technology, Computer Science, Natural Science ,Accounting, Finance ,Marketing, public policy management and governance.

 (2) To produce socially responsible and creative entrepreneurs capable of promoting business and industry for the socio-economic development of Nepal,

 (3) To conduct research programs for enhancing the knowledge and skill base of academics and practicing computer & Information Technologist, managers Scientist and Social Scientist 

 In Management field BKMC offers Bachelor in Business Studies (BBS), Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor in Information Management (BIM), Bachelor in Business Management (BBM) and Master in Business Studies (MBS). BKMC untiringly supplies middle level and top level managers through the programs it has been offering to the management students joining BKMC from every corner of this nation. BBS is based on annual system, whereas BBA, BIM and MBS are semester system programs.

Currently it has different programs in Information Technology such as MIT, B.Sc. CSIT, BIT, BIM, and BCA. Other programs include Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Art ( BA)  in English literature, Mathematics, Nepali literature, Geography, Social Work, Sociology, Rural Development, Anthropology, History, Home Science, Political Science, Newari literature and Masters Program in Sociology Rural Development and Nepali Literature.
